***IMPORTANT***

This Scenery Uses Our New Mask Rider Macros and Library Objects!

BE SURE TO GO TO OUR MASKED RIDER MACRO PAGE:

http://www.maskrider.com/CFS2_Scenery/mrscenery.html

AND GET: MR_LibObjs_Complete.zip and MR_Tree_Package.zip!

The Library Objects and textures must be installed as per instructions in order to avoid the avoidable frustration of not doing so!!

**************************************************************************************************************************

If you don't already have a folder where you normally install your add on scenery, follow these steps:

1. Create a new folder in your main CFS2 directory. Name it "My Terrain"

2. Create two new folders inside the "My Terrain" folder. Name one "Scenery", name the other "Texture".

3. Place all *.bgl files into the "Scenery" folder.

4. Place all *.bmp files, into the "Texture" folder.

5. To get the scenery to show up in CFS2 you must Add it to your CFS2 scenery Library as follows:

Open CFS2. In the opening screen (not the splash screen) click on the "Settings" button in the lower left portion of the screen. From there make the following clicks -> "Scenery Library" -> "Add Area" -> in the dialogue window browse to the "MY Terrain" folder you created and hilite it. Then click the next 2 "OK"s -> "OK" -> "OK".

That is it- the scenery is added and available for use in FF and QC.

To use the new airstrips in MB you must make new runways entries in the airbases.dat file ( CFS2/INFO folder ).

6. Make back of current airbases.dat file- located in your CFS2/INFO folder.

6. Using Wordpad, open your airbases.dat file

7. Copy the last runway entry in the file and past it one blank line below itself. Don't accidently over-write the End of File Marker ( the little square box thingy ) while doing so!

8. Make the runway.xxx the next number in sequence based on your current entries. Same goes for the id=xxxx number.

9. From the text below , copy and paste the runway name, lat, lon, altitude and heading entries for runway you are adding into the runway entry you just pasted onto the end of you airbases.dat file.

name=PNG Kokoda Strip
base_lat=S08 52.99
base_lon=E147 43.62
base_alt=1255
heading=350

name=PNG Myola Dry Lake Strip
base_lat=S09 08.61
base_lon=E147 44.42
base_alt=6668
heading=005

(This scenery has several menu entry start points, including the float plane start points, available thru the advanced go to- FS95 and before menu.)

10. Save and close the airbases.dat file.

You are set for MB

Thats handles the airfields and scenery locations!

Mission NOTES:
First of all- the Mission lists as "Australian"
Secondly, we highly recommend putting at least, Peter Haleys RAAF C47 Dakota textures on the stock c47 Skytrain.

To install the mission:
Place png_34.dyn and png_34.mis into your cfs2 MISSIONS folder.
Place recon_kokoda.jpg into your cfs2 PHOTOS folder.

Be sure to print out the files named:

Kokoda Track NDBs.txt
kokodainfosheet.doc
And have the Map handy

so that you can more easily Navigate and enjoy the flight over the Track!
