RTW 2017 Race Practice #0.1

MaddogK- Destination appears to be Kunming (ZPPP)
Currently cruising at 400+ knots with a 60 knot tailwind so will be in the neighborhood shortly... DME shows 75 miles out.

Milton- Tools would be nice. Need to make sure I still have Teamspeak installed and I have a new headset.

Rgr that, getting the Hornet fired up.

BTW Milton, on that default Tigercat radio- I just noticed something really odd, while tuning the VHF radio the dial doesn't move BUT the standby frequency changes, instead of what I'de expect the ACTIVE frequency changing.

On long base, 10 miles out. May have started descent a little late. No time like the present to check out Duenna stress levels.

You may need to change the aircraft.cfg to drop the stndby freqs. ??

[Radios]
// Radio Type = availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1, 1
Com.2=1, 1
Nav.1=1, 1, 1
Nav.2=1, 1, 0
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1

Soon as they sweep the wreckage off the runway the baton is free :(
Might have have nailed a light trying to land short.

This is what my cfg shows

So, I feel a little better. There is some invisible obstruction off of Runway 21 at Kunming in my FSX-A install. I've just done three approaches in different aircraft and all three have been struck down 50-100 feet above ground. I've noticed some mesh altitude issues at some other airports recently so while I dig into that, I'm going to switch over to my FSX Steam install for further RTW practice as I have that version far less buggered up with add ons.

I've been going through my "Race Hangar" making sure all my panel mods are still working, and making sure I still know how to fly the darned things. I will get a leg in with each of them at some point during this practice.

Will be interesting to see if Duenna works with SE
