I have one question, Milton: where can I find those wheel covers?

Great job, 'jankees' ! :jump:

I love the colors on 'Idiot's Delite'.

Just nit picking here, but for some reason the graphics 'Idiots Delite' seem to me to be a wee bit mis-aligned.
The RH side seems like it can be moved back so the 'I' lines up with the middle bar of the cabin side window, just like the 'E' does on the LH side ?
A minor detail nonetheless. I will download this one when I get home later today, for sure !

let's hope this is better:

jankees,

The wheel takes on a distorted appearance for the slightly convex cap. This was done by pulling the 2nd outer ring of vertices to the center.

In hindsight, bad choice from a painter's viewpoint. :-/

But, to answer your question, see the attached.

Milton

I'm still playing with the metal textures. What if a(n imaginary) 9th AF bare metal Havoc had been overpainted on top, like they did with some B-25's on Corsica?

Thanks Milton for another fine model! I really enjoy flying this one.

I would love to see a paint of this one that Dad photographed at Bassingbourn in early 1945. This the 92nd BG Hack, Boston/Havoc #BJ-473. That's Dad posing in the close up. The 91st Hack, a P-47 can be seen behind in the far shot.

Cheers,
Terry

C model would be just dandy! Beggars can't be choosy.:encouragement:

Great pictures! They take us right back to that time and place and convey the feeling of what it was like during the war in that moment. Thanks.

It's been a while but Daisy Mae is finally starting to come to life. All grimed up and now the paint chipping and grease/oil streaking begins!

Good things come to those who have patience...:jump: Good luck with the new rig! Did you get a 8700K with lots of RAM for Photoshop?

Cheers,

Terry

Happy camper....finally!

Back to 100% after talking with Manfred about the missing glass problem, etc over at Flightsim.com. I now have a perfect B-50 AND the A-20G and A-20C are now in the groove. No more having to use the FS9 version! A missing Common folder in the ShadersHLSL folder. (Yay vanilla backup!)

I was watching a documentary on the Desert War 1942 and the ebbs and flow of that conflict around Tobruk El Alamein etc, apart from Hurricanes there were some Beaufighters and there were Bostsons as well. What caught my eye was a short clip of FM Montgomery visiting somewhere during the battles but he disembarked from the rear gunners hatch of a Boston. There was no shot of the markings but I guess it would have been a RAF version as the Americans only came in with the landings in the west in Tunisia and Morocco. Anybody have any idea who was operating Bostons in that area at the time? Just curious - a paint for one would be a bonus.

That's awesome, Duckie. I know that making use of a HD texture is a lot of work. My hat's off to that.

Cheers,
Mark
