• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Navy Chief - you may be familiar with the late Capt Dale "Snort" Snograss - he told a wicked story about Pax. He was the Navy Demo pilot in the F-14 for many years and as such was a "Rock Star" on the airshow circuit. He was "gifted" a Red Ferrari for one season by a rich fan. One day he was racing it round the taxiways at Pax when he was stopped by a Base Cop. He avoided a ticket and "tea without biscuits" with the base CO by allowing the Cop to drive the car round the base at full chat!!

Really, the only thing I wish looked different is the color. If it they were red brick, it would be better, but oh well. NAS Pensacola, and Saufley also had the same hangars as Patuxent. Very majestic in my opinion.

I am familiar with the late, great Capt. Snodgrass, but never had the honor of meeting him. I did, however, have the honor and privilege of a F-14A backseat ride, piloted by then Lt. Curt "DohSo" Dose, who was also quite well known in the Tomcat Community.

@Bomber_12th I would appreciate it if you would stop your incessant bashing of Aeroplane Heaven. AH have been a purveyor of fine FS addons for decades now.

Your helpful criticism would be appreciated by the AH team if and when done privately because it would be helpful, but publicly damaging their efforts and therefore their sales is just not on.

I don't think I've been incessant, and I think my criticisms, few and far between, have always been well-founded. I would never "bash" without ample reason to do so. A company that acquires a poorly-executed model, a so-called "B-25J", repackages it as quick as possible for MSFS to get the next flow of money as soon as possible... what do you expect the end result to be? All of us to be a bunch of fanboys, full of admiration? My respect for Aeroplane Heaven goes as far as the respect I've seen them show their products and the community at large. It's not worth offering helpful critiques, as when doing so you're only met by the response, "we model from accurate drawings".
