:kilroy:Hey guys, I was just mindin' my own business at the O-Club one night, when the CO wanted me to drop off some buddies of his and their gear behind enemy lines.

He said, all I had to do was taxi to the runway, take off, look for some pretty red lights on the ground, drop off these "joes" and some supply containers, dodge a little flak, and come on back home.

All in a night's work.

This mission is part of the optional FirePower_USAAF_Heavy_Bombers_2eto pack for ETO. You need ETO updated to 1.20 and these four folders copied into the ETO aricraft folder from your FirePower install: B_17_share, b_17f, B_17G, and B_24J.

Ya gotta be careful goin' in, though. It's mostly uphill goin' in. Ya might just kiss the ground if'n yer not very careful!

Enjoy.:d

Not fp
but it is USAAF:wavey:

I've just flown this one and I really enjoyed it.

The follow me truck, lighted runway, lighted DZ, bad wheather over England (as usual :d ).... really immersive and a real change, there is nothing to destroy for a while!! :wiggle:

:kilroy:Good for you, Henry. Nice pic. Glad to see you getting involved. Way to go! Tons and tons more to see, folks. Let's see some more!:d

Operation Dragoon, D-Day -1, Free French Operations

:kilroy:Hey, Guys,

A funny thing happened the day before Operation Dragoon began.

Several things, actually.

This French P-47 pilot shot down a flying boat, splattered a troop column, plastered a train, and swatted a Storch. All in one day.:d

And suddenly, after a mission during Dynamo Operation, I saw this scene...Well, it has simply touched me. I imagine this ETO is really a big hommage to a brave youth, no matter the color of their fatigues...
Thank you Groundhogs!!:applause::applause:

Great screenie Nonato, that's my favourite little corner of the ETO! Spifires at Standby, Hawkinge 1940. The grouping of the aircraft is based on an old photo I have.

(Btw to be hisorically accurate you ought to be using a Hurricane without the band on the rear fuselage, that came in in Dec 1940)

Keep em coming! :ernae:

Pictures of missions in era 4 of 1.20 and a picture 0f siren I have put in USAAF bases. The bottom 4 pictures is where I am taxing to run way and taking off. This is a great sim. yes the best.

I've seen a similar scene on a USAAF airfield after the Carpetbagger mission (see pics of this mission on the first post of this thread)... and I spend a few minutes just to watch the camera moving around the aircraft and the scene, really immersive with a lot of details, it's impressive, really.

Training first! Big Flight Wednesday....

I have to thank the ETO team for this amazing Expansion. The many talents really came together as a whole. The amount of A/C...the quality... The AirBases! I can't say enough....Clive, the Training Mission is a hoot!
