There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I'm fearful too but was really after hearing some first-hand feedback from folks on here that are running the current version of the 16 Beta. Unfortunately when MS/ASOBO say "it's ready" it still might not be and at that point we will have no choice but to suck it upHaving taken part once, I now avoid MSFS Betas like the plague. It's ready when it's ready, as far as I'm concerned. In a similar vein, I have so much that needs doing on MSFS2024, along with new/updated aircraft to install - but I'm not touching it until SU 3 is released and proven.
Maybe because Asobo/M$ are using us as beta testers? It's an IT business model. All software firms do it. M$ just led the way.I'm fearful too but was really after hearing some first-hand feedback from folks on here that are running the current version of the 16 Beta. I get what you're saying, but I don't agree. As a mid-level IT manager for a European Institution, I have to talk to M$. Privately they admit that using end users as beta testers is a business model. Alpha testing is something they do themselves, beta is thrown upon the the users. Again, it's a business model and it is disgusting. Beta testers are not supposed to pay for faulty software. It's called savage capitalism. Thank Reagan and Thatcher.Speaking only of flight sims, I reckon it's because of all the hardware permutations that exist worldwide. They can only do in-house beta testing on a certain number of configurations, and then deal with problems on a case-by-case basis after release.
Having said that, I don't think MSFS2024 had much beta testing at all, in-house or otherwise!Anyway, things are improving, slowly.

I know that this is politics. I don't care. It's also fact.

Good call John! For those that swear by using the latest/greatest DLSS version, as I do - just a quick reminder that, once the SU16 update is installed, it rolls back the DLSS in MSFS to quite an older version, so you will need to use DLSS Swapper to update it again.
Yes, thanks for the reminder. I would have forgotten and blamed SU16 for my poorer visuals. For those that swear by using the latest/greatest DLSS version, as I do - just a quick reminder that, once the SU16 update is installed, it rolls back the DLSS in MSFS to quite an older version, so you will need to use DLSS Swapper to update it again.
