Aeroplane Heaven Lancaster available!

I guess I'm in the luckiest situation in that, if I want to check on some detail of the Lancaster, I can drive 15 min up to the Warplane Heritage Museum and either take a photo or ask the pilot. I love that you can walk right up to it and even into the bomb bay. I was going to say that photo posted here of a Lancaster bombay, was not a Lancaster. Sits too high off the ground. At 5'7 I have to duck to get under there.
In conclusion, the new livery I'm working on VRA in Substance Painter is going to be my best work. I've figured out so much about the program. Already put about 40 hrs. Into the detail. After this template is completed I'll be able to do bare metal RCAF liveries..I'm excited about those!

Which photo ? The one with the four-abreast bombs ?

Looking forward to the VRA repaint. It's nice to see a number of repaints for the Lancaster appearing at .To. I always think that the more repaints being done, the more interest in the model, and hopefully sales figures.

Looking forward to your version of VRA. It was nice to see it again three months ago, but without the tail fins and minus engine covers it lacked something of its presence. Good to see them keeping it in good shape though.

A couple of days ago I came across the original photos I took of the cockpit when I was working on the VIP panel for the Lanc in 1997. Through the inclusion of VRA in the Ultimate Classic Wings CD back then, we exposed a lot of people to the work of CWHM. It is so good to see Aeroplane Heaven releasing this iconic machine, and your repaint will once again promote CWHM awareness.

BTW, I want to thank you for your Brantford airport too. I fly to it a lot when re-creating my training days from CZBA.

That's amazing! Thank you so much for the vote of confidence! The CWHM is very near and dear to my heart, I'm honoured to be able to bring VeRA to the sim and I hope some of the volunteer engineers at the hangar get to experience it in the sim too. I'm so glad you are enjoying Brantford! I really put some heart into that one too. My son and I are watching aircraft from the observation platform next to the clubhouse restaurant in that scenery. hehe. We're 2D images in a 3D world, but it's always nice to see the little guy again, who's not so little anymore! I miss that little kid. Here's some progress shots for ya!

Tweaking G-George and othetr liveries,

Reduced the shine on the wings, fuselage and spinners. Also lower prop blur visibilty.

Compare the BBMF Lanc to the others. Look at the wings behind the nacelles. The prop blur is always depicted as what you see on video and pictures, so by camera. You can hardly see any blur by eye as I can tell by own experience as a real world pilot.
But that is probably considered nitpicking.

Well, I'm not a real world pilot, but I've been to plenty of warbird airshows at Duxford, etc, and you're right - the prop discs are barely visible to the eye.
