• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Got this page when i opend up Flightsim.com

Please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to proceed.

I dont remember blocking them in the first place so guess its some kind of hack. didnt touch anything, just closed the page

I just tried to go to a newsite I always read before going to work and got a similar message.

Not sure who "Cloudshare" is, but no access to sites who use them as an intermediary if in Miami, FL either.

Not going anywhere near any site that has that pop up, which -- unfortunately -- happens to be a lot of newsites right now.

As for Flightsim, all I get is a message that says they are offline?

Really strange.

I'm getting it, too! 4:25am Pacific time. Getting it for AVSIM too!

Just Googled Cloudflare and saw this:
Cloudflare outage impacts major websites and services....happening now!

Cloud flare is a service that protects websites by placing themselves between the end user and the website. When they have issues like right now nothing works.

Tektips.com is having the same flakey connection issues right now as well.

And....if you can sign on to flightsim.com, like I just did, you will find a message from management stating that Dec. 1 the site will be taken down for several
months for them to revamp. 🔔 striking a death knell?

Several problems across the internet today myself with Cloudflare, and others using it behind their services.

From what I am hearing at work it is the result of a large DDOS attack.
Had to Google that!
A DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attack overloads a target, such as a website or server, with an overwhelming amount of fake internet traffic, rendering it inaccessible to legitimate users. Attackers use a network of compromised devices, called a botnet, to flood the system with malicious requests, consuming its resources and causing it to crash or go offline. This can disrupt online services, lead to lost revenue, and harm a company's reputation.

Yep, it's back for me too in the northeast USA.

I just came upon this article on my local newspaper's web site explaining what Cloudshare is and about the outage:

https://www.masslive.com/news/2025/11/whats-cloudflare-and-which-sites-does-its-outage-affect.html
I just checked the article above and that is only a few of the sites that got hit. There was one on there that spreads nothing but lies, hatred and misinformation so that one can stay down for all I care as it serves no useful purpose at all and is a total waste of bandwidth!
