• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

1940 J2F-2A Grumman Duck.zip 2024-05-27

No permission to download
FS2004 1940 J2F-2A Grumman Duck. The first Ducks were delivered in late 1934. The last Grumman version was the J2F-5 and these were delivered in 1940. Most of the JF/J2F Ducks remained in service throughout WW II. They were operated from carriers and land bases in a variety of roles, including patrol, bombing, photo-survey, rescue and target towing. This particular model is painted for the 3rd Section Leader of Marine Squadron 3 circa 1940. Many thanks to Mick Morrissey for help with the color scheme. It has the usual FS9 animations including the tail hook, sliding transparent canopies, plus pilot figures, Nav and Landing lights. The 2D panel and VC are based on a real photo. This FSDS2.24 project was compiled into FS2004 and has not been tested in any other simulator. INSTALLATION: Unzip Gduck.zip into a temporary folder. Copy the folder Grumman Duck into the Aircraft folder of FS2004. If you have not already done so, you must copy the default DC-3 and Lockheed Vega gauge .cab files from their respective panel folders into the Gauges folder of FS2004. The gauges are a "no show" otherwise. LEGAL: This project is released as freeware. You may modify it, repaint it, etc., upload to another website as long as it is not for profit. You need my written permission to use any of these files for commercial purposes; otherwise just give me credit for the original design. This airplane should not hurt your computer but I am not responsible if it causes problems. Enjoy! Paul Clawson Email: p.pandj@verizon.net
