This model is of a Mk IF Beaufighter, NG-R, with the full compliment of cannons and wing guns.It is fitted with the radar array for the British AI Mk IV radar set. NG-R was part of 604 Sqn, RAF, and flown by John "Cats Eyes" Cunningham. He tallied 20 night victories during the war, 16 in Beaufighters and 4 in Mosquitos. John also found fame after the war as a de Havilland test pilot, especially for testing the world's first jet airliner, the de Havilland Comet.
