• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Whitleys of 502 sqn RAF Coastal Command by UncleTgt.

This is a collection of repaints for Shessi's excellent Whitley Mk. V & Mk. VII Coastal Command for CFS2. It illustrates the development of camoflage used for maritime patrol. A separate file give details on them.

This zip contains: The airfile was created by Peperez, & adopts the distinctive "nose-down" attitude in level flight. The panel is a direct copy of Shessi's Whitley MkV panels, all I've done is to make it WIN 7 friendly. The dp includes exhaust effects, & several weapon loads.

Weapons used are: Bismark13's 250lb bomb from his Beaufighter packages, Shessi's own British 250lb Depth charge
Baldy's MkVII aerial depth charge.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS2 install.

Thanks to: Ted Cook for a great aircraft, & his willingness to support converting them for use in CFS2, Shessi for his work at bringing older models up to code, & inventing novel solutions so CFS2 can simulate such a wide range of combat operations, and to Peperez for helping with the challenge of making a more accurate airfile.

Also, thanks to Bismark13 for his 250lb bomb, Baldy for his MkVII aerial depth charge, Kelticheart for his exhaust effects, & his inspiration for the propeller bitmaps.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.
