• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

A2A Lockheed Constellation BOAC G-ALAK

A2A Lockheed Constellation BOAC G-ALAK 2018-10-07

No permission to download
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of L749 G-ALAK 'Brentford' of BOAC. It was originally built for TWA (c/n 2548), but went to Airlinte Eirann as EI-ACR in 1947. It was sold to BOAC in 1948, becoming G-ALAK. It was first leased and in 1962 sold to Skyways, which became Euravia in 1963. It was bought by Ace Freighters in 1965. After they went bankrupt, several sales fell through, but in 1968 it was flown to Miami as CP-797 for Trans Bolivian. It then went to Peru as OB-R-899 with Copisa and used until Copisa stopped operations in 1971. It was probably scrapped in Lima.

Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paint kit by A2A.
