This repaint depicts the Albatros D.III flown by Joachim von Bertrab of Jasta 30. He became an ace in one day, when he shot 4 British aircrafts on one single day. A month later he shot down his final victory. In August 1917 he was shot down but survived and was captured. I want to thank Stuart Green for his incredible Albatros D.III model. The guys in the FS2004 forums at the Sim-Outhouse for their support and especially Randy "Baron von Blutwurst" Foss for sharing his information about the colours. A special thanks to Blowhart from Simmer's Paintshop for his excellent tutorials and Martin Wright for his great graphic tools without which no repaint would have been possible.
