This is a repaint of the excellent Virtavia B-29 to represent 44-27297 a B-29A-36-MO 'Bockscar' a Silverplate B-29A of the 509th Composite Group, Tinian, August 1945. This was the aircraft that dropped the second atomic bomb on Nagasaki on August 9th 1945, effectively ending WWII. Currently housed in the National Museum of the USAF at Wright-Paterson AFB, Ohio. She is represented bearing the false markings of the 444th Bomb Group which were carried for security reasons on the August 9th mission. An alternative pair of 509th Composite Group circle and arrow tail textures are provided if you prefer.
