Model: CFS3 Macchi C.202 Folgore The mainstay of the italian fighter force during WWII, the Folgore was an elegant and performing aircraft for his time. Armament was of 2x12.7 mm + 2x7.7 mm. The plane here depicted belonged to 75th squadron, 23rd gruppo, 3rd stormo, based in Tunisy early 1943. It was piloted by major Luigi filippi, commander of 23rd gruppo, an italian ace with 7 confirm kills.
