• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

This is a CFS3 mod package that was originally posted on the Netwings site. They were intended for stock CFS3 and/or CFS3 with Firepower ONLY.
Nothing has been modified in any way and it is still in it's original *.zip file. Here is the README for full acknowledgement:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Dex's Dynamic Weather Version 1.0 - Dec 2002
-----------------------------------------------------------------

This does not impact any existing CFS3 files.
For use with Microsoft CFS3, this add-on automatically generates weather, making for a more immersive mission where you never know what the weather will be next.
Attention has been put on realism, so flying from point A to B, the weather will go through logical transitions. From overcast it may become stormy, or then again, it may become sunny, but effort was made to make it a smooth transition.
Also, while this does not impact the default weather included with CFS3, it does render it differently than the stock options would, making for higher clouds, lower fog, and stronger storms.
Some wind effects were used but they are very minor due to unknown facts related to take-offs etc. I didn't want to mangle your flight experience.
