 | This pack contains two texture sets for the Aerosoft English Electric Lightning. They represent Lightnings of No. 226 Operational Conversion Unit based at RAF Coltishall. Both carry the colours of 'shadow' squadrons used by 226 OCU; these designations would have been applied in the event these fully combat-capable units were deployed in a time of crisis. XM215 was one of the last F Mk. 1A's built and carried the markings of 65 Sqdn. from 1970 till 1974. XM172 carried the markings of 145 Sqdn. during the 1960's. For many years it was a gate guardian at RAF Coltishall then moved to Farnborough and now sits in a garden in Cumbria. |
