Douglas F4D Skyray 134836 VF-162 circa 1961 onboard USS Intrepid (CVA-11) Med Cruise.
VF-162 was formed in the early 60s as a temporary relief squadron for other squadrons that were in training on newer aircraft. After this cruise they transitioned to the F-8 Crusader and went to the West Coast. VF-162 was disbanded in the early 1970s.
