This model mod and repaints shows Aireye equipped Dassault HU-25B Guardian 2118 and one of the latest used Dassault HU-25D Guardian 2140 of U.S. Coast Guard, equipped with FLIR/radar pod.
Seven HU-25A Guardian were fitted with the Aireye system as HU-25B, designed to perform scientific and maritime environmental protection missions, particularly locating and monitoring oil spills.
From 27 January 1991 to 30 April 1991 two HU-25B Guardian deployed to Bahrain for Operation Desert Storm. Operated as SLICK 77 scanning the Gulf for oil slicks. The repaint of 2118 was one of them.
On 26 September 2014, following 32 years of service, the last operational HU-25 Falcon of USCG was retired.
Model modification with permission of Arild Elverum. It includes crew members in exterior model, reduced shine and reflections and textured front gear struts.
