• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

This campaign is a 46-mission set (All on the Finnish side) that depicts the two wars that Finland fought against the relentless Soviet onslaught. The first portion, which you can fly as a single campaign, parallels the sister 'Winter War' campaign, found at the Sim-outhouse. It is flown from the perspective of the Finnish Aces. The Continuation War is the next part of the battle against the Soviet Union, which lasts from 1941 to 1944.

I took special care during this campaign to stay as true to the facts as I felt appropriate, though I did take certain liberties in some missions. However, I was careful to stay within the realm of historical plausibility. I should also warn you that there is a steep mission difficulty curve during the 'Continuation War' campaign.

During 1941, the aircraft you face are similar to the ones you faces in the 'Winter War (Aces)' Campaign, but you gradually bump into MiG-3 and LaGG-3 fighters. In 1942, you bump into lend-lease Hurricanes and P-40s, and toward 1943, you face the cream of the Soviet arsenal. So, be prepared for that!

This campaign required an extensive overhaul, so please appreciate the effort and time this campaign took. This was a lot harder than either 'Operation Zitadelle' or 'Kuban Bridgehead, 1943'. Still, it is now complete, so enjoy!!
