Hurricane Mk.I L1555, Sqn Ldr John Gillan, No.111 Sqn Royal Air Force, RAF Notholt, 10th February 1938

It was with this aircraft that Sqn Ldr Gillan made his record-breaking flight from Edinburgh Turnhouse to Northolt, at an average speed of 408.75 mph.
