• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Junkers Ju88C2

This is my first project, in all aspects. All is made by me, except as noted.

Visual model-

-Multi-res
-No virtual cockpit...Soon

Airfile -Setting correct info, correct 'feel', AI actions, all make the .air file a handful. Because of 'limits' the airfiles have, there is a compromise for the take-off of the Ju88. Using known info, the take-off is longer than normal.

(Read more in the flight characteristics document)

-Also included is a 'Take-off Hints', which may help.

Panel and Gauges-

-Beta

-Most gauges are FS98 (re-painted).

-Some are new, and still beta (of course!)

Sound-

-Luftwaffe Bomber Sounds (from RAF662, w/start-stop sounds added)

I have tried to find the maker of the original sound pack, with no luck. If these are yours...my many thanks! I will most gladly add credits, if I can find the maker.

Textures-

-As time permits, I will improve.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Credits (and many thanks!) -

Specifications, Information, and great Support-

-Hugh Shoults, who gave me much support, aide, testing, and much more. Thank you, Hugh!!

-Marv Howell, who sent me many pages of info on the Ju88s, and was a great help.

-Jari Halivuori, who sent me the enclosed document, that gives many of the flight characteristics of the Ju88s.

Beta-testers-
-Hugh Shoults, Marv Howell, Tom (Wrangler), Paul Straney
Thanks, guys!!

Pilots Models-
-David Eckert

Pilots Models bitmaps-
-Hugh Shoults

Cowlflaps-
-Paul Straney

714th-
-for a good beginning on the airfile, using their spreadsheets.

Gauges-

-To many unknown gauge-makers, who graciously add their time and talents, so the rest of us can enjoy their work.

-Arne Bartels, who graciously allowed use of his gauges, and also created gauges for the Ju88 panel. Many thanks!

-Mike Wagner, who made the magneto switches.

-Phil Mehard, who made, and allowed use of his magneto switch bitmap.

-HGHB Gauges, who provided many fine metric gauges.

And to any, that I might have failed to list.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A note for re-painters-

You will find, the C2 is not set-up for re-painting to a different color scheme. All C2s were basicly painted the same, and is correct, so the C2 is set-up only for the black scheme.

If you wish to 'just' change markings, I have no problems with that, including for uploads.

I will be releasing a Junkers Ju88C4...in the near future, that 'will' be set-up for re-painting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Many thanks to all who helped me, with this project!

I hope you enjoy the C2.
