Lavochkin La5FN
---------------
20030606. KPW.
This aircraft is intended to represent the Lavochkin La-5 FN which was the first Soviet fighter in the Great Patriotic War to exceed the performance of its opposition.
I believe the flight model is fairly close within the limits of CFS 1.
Critical altitude is set a bit low at around 12,000 feet. Climb rate is a bit too high at about 4000 fpm. Level speed is close. Handling characteristics are a not very educated guess only.
AI does not seem to know how to fly this plane in Quick Combat. Crashes very often.
Pilot Notes:
Torque effect on this aircraft is extremely high due to the high engine power and small wing.
Aircraft Lateral trim should be set at 10 notches right wing down to counter torque at full power.
Aircraft has a great tendency to bounce at landing.
DP parameters may surprise some folks. Keep in mind that although the wooden construction resulted in a fairly strong aircraft, it was quite vulnerable to battle damage.
Please let me know if you find any errors or have constructive criticism. My documentation on this plane especially regarding flight performance is very limited.

Known Visual Mistakes:
The upper surfaces of this plane should be a two tone gray. I think the single color looks nice though.
Wheel textures are completely wrong but look nicer than an authentic texture would.
Panel is aliased to P-47D panel but many characteristics do not match. I may try to do a panel in the future.
