• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Walrus Pre-War/Early War Skinpack by UncleTgt

This is a collection of repaints for Mike Stone's Supermarine Walrus, converted for use in CFS 2. This pack reflects those aircraft used pre-WW2 & early war.

I lifted the 2D panel bitmap from Dave Molyneaux's excellent Walrus for FS2004, & made in WIN 7+ safe & used gauges that would work with CFS 2.

I used Martin Wright's MDLmat & Allens DOSMdlc_2 to shine the model & provide a pre-war aluminimum mdl as well.

The prop texture has been reworked to give better transparency in the Sim.

The textures in this set are: L2260 - F - Aircraft used by 701 Naval Air Squadron during ill-fated campaign in Norway May-June 1940. The serial number is an educated guess.

L2190 - 43 - Aircraft from HMS Birmingham, China Station circa July 1939.

P5668 - Alice II Aircraft embarked in HMS Gloucester during March 1941. Operated during the battle of Cape Matapan.

L2243 - WW - Aircraft from HMS Kent, China Station circa August 1938.

L2222 - 9A - Aircraft embarked on HMS Leander, SW Pacific, during January 1940.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Thanks to: Mike Stone for the original aircraft, & the team headed by Buddha13 that put together the CFS 2 conversion.

Martin Wright for so many useful tools, in this case MDLmat, alowing parts of the model to be shined.
Allen for his DOSmdlc_2 package.

Dave Molyneaux for the use of his 2D panel bitmap.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.
