• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

These are some fictional repaints for the outstanding Warbirdsim 'Mustang Tales' package. Based on the fictional navalised FJ-1D 'Seahorse', they represent a Royal Navy and two Royal Australian Navy 'Sea Mustangs', as they would most probably have been known in RN service. The scenario is that, post-war, a limited number of ex-U.S. Navy Seahorses were bought for the Royal Navy and some were further handed on to the Royal Australian Navy just prior to the Korean War, to supplement the Hawker Sea Furies and Supermarine Seafires in service then. Two repaints depict the Sea Mustang as a fighter-bomber operating from British and Australian carriers during the Korean War, while the third depicts a later 'Oxford Blue' Australian Navy colour scheme. These repaints go well with the recently released freeware HMS Ocean by Collin Glendinning/Lazarus.

This package includes the following update: Here is the revised texture folder for the Warbirdsim FJ-1D 'Seahorse' representing the RAN aircraft at the end of its service life as a 'hack' based at Nowra NAS in New South Wales. It contains the correct P-51D_3_T .dds texture file.
