This is an upgraded version of the fantastic “Normandie-Niemen” campaign done by Alain “Ajax” Pandolfi. His campaign has long been my favorite for the ETO, because it offers such wonderfully dynamic and different challenges each time you fly it. Because of the heavily modified nature of the individual missions, I edited all these missions by hand, making sure to not spoil what makes this campaign so truly great. This campaign has been updated with the following improvements:
CFS2-exclusive infrastructure
Updated aircraft, in one case with brand-new modifications!
Improved names of aircraft flights
French flight names for the Normandie-Niemen squadron.
Lastly, the changing of the mission allegiance to country.18, so that the Normandie-Niemen UIRES screens don’t interfere with Ajax’s Russian UIRES screens. As Ajax said in his readme, the Normandie-Niemen squadron used a mix of French and Russian medals, and I wanted to make sure that was preserved.
This campaign is a lot of fun, and offers some truly unique challenges even for experienced simmers!
