• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

This is a repaint for the Warbirdsim P-51D 'Little Friends' pack depicting P-51D-20-NA 44-63620 'Small Boy Here' for the 83rd FS, 78th FG based at RAF Duxford, and flown by Lt. John A. Kirk III. This was reputed to be one of the fastest stock Mustangs operated in Europe and Kirk destroyed an Me-262 with it on March 21st 1945, one of 6 downed by the 78th FG that day. 'Small Boy Here' was the RAF radio call for fighters in the area. On VE Day 7th May 1945 a replacement pilot misjudged a landing at Duxford and it bellied in. It was the last USAAF aircraft to crash during the war in Europe. It was subsequently repaired and finally written off in another belly landing in Germany in January 1946.
