• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

This pack contains three RAF skins for the excellent AH Hurricane MkIId. The MkIId was a dedicated anti-tank/anti-shipping version of the famous Hawker Hurricane. It mainly served in the MTO and SEAC, with a brief, but successful operational life in the ETO in the lead up to D Day. It carried 2 .303 Browning MGs for sighting purposes and limited self-defence and 2 40mm Vikers or RollsRoyce "S" guns for ground attack. The first skin represents BP188, JV-Z, of 6Sqn, RAF, operating in the Western Desert in 1942-43 and is, perhaps, the most famous MkIId. The next is KX561, FJ-G, of 164 "Argentine-British" Squadron, RAF, operating from Middle Wallop, near Andover in Hampshire from June 1943 on anti-shipping duties. This Squadron eventually re-equipped with MkIVs. The final aircraft is KW871, G, of 20 Sqn operating in India in 1944-45 on anti-armour and ground attack duties. Many thanks to the folks at AH for the original aircraft and to Gavinc for his permission to muck about with his Hurris. The artwork for the skins came from Wings Palette and Hewman100, so many thanks to them and to Merlin66 for his YAS exhaust effect. Cheers.PomBee.
