• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

RAF Re8 for FS 2004

RAF Re8 for FS 2004 second update

No permission to download
I havn't introduced the most beautiful and successful British aeroplane from World War One, but the Royal Aircraft Factory Reconnaissance Experimental 8 became a legend with all the reliable service she provided from the second part of 1916 to the end of the war as a reconnaissance, bomber and ground attack plane.

Second update for this plane, three production states models, one with engine cowlings for Brown and Barlow carburettors, Vickers interrupt system for the Vickers gun, a second with engine cowlings for Claudel-Hobson carburettors, Vickers interrupt system for the Vickers gun, the last with Daimler type engine cowlings and Constantinesco interrupt system for the Vickers gun.

The compass is now gimballed according to pitch and bank, using the possibility in FS9 models to create our own's animations, the materials fitting the parts are now provided with different specularity levels to evocate the different light reactions on the original materials.
The gauges are now fitted with tooltips that change according to the main game settings, default, US or metric.

The models are from Martin Klein, the crew characters are a mix of Martin Wright's RAF Pilot and Wolfi's Japanese pilot.

The 2D panels are from Kevin Driver and Martin Klein, the gauges from Martin Klein, thanks to "Aussie" for his CFS2 gauges header, that permits the add of tooltips.

The original Flight Dynamics are from Aer DaddyO and were re-worked to fit this model by Stephan Scholz and Aer DaddyO with some hands from Wolfebee.

The sounds were found in an Aerocrate model, and are from LuftwaffeOberst and Gary Aumaugher.

The textures A3474, A3490 and A4397 are from Mike Lang "Ravenna", you are deeply missed Mike!
The others textures are from Martin Klein

Enjoy !
