Updated versions of my previous Mk1A repaints. This is a repaint of the superb YAS MK1A spitfire from Merlin66, file name YAS_MK1A.zip found here at the Sim-Outhouse http://www.sim-outhouse.com/index.ph...fo&FileID=1225 Please take the time to thank Merlin for all his hard work, without his plane and his extra help, these repaints would not be possible. Special thanks to Kelticheart, for doing some beta testing for me and keeping me on the right path with my colors and sending me some great Spitfire pics. Special thanks also to Jinx, who also sent me some great pics of the Spitfire. Also included is a updated model file by Merlin66, it has been re-worked to allow painting of the spinner and remapping of the undercarriage. Based at Rochford and Hornchurch during the Battle of Britain, this aircraft was flown by the commanding officer of No.74 Squadron, Sqn Ldr D.F. 'Sailor' Malan. This South African-born ace was instrumental in modifying Fighter Command tactic.
