• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Shessi-Cook Hawker Audax revision by UncleTgt

This is a collection of modifications for the revamp of Ted Cook's Hawker Audax done by Shessi for CFS 2.

I've modified the cockpit glass colour & reduced the model shine for camoflage paints.

I've made the 2D panel bitmap WIN 7+ safe, & provided different coloured bitmaps for the different repaints. I developed more payload options in the DP files, see the ordnance notes for which weapon packs were used.

A new airfile was developed, & optimised for AI & combat performance.

The textures are: K2015 from 13 sqn RAF, Netheravon, Wiltshire, circa June 1932.

K3712 of 18 Elementary & Reserve Flight Training School, based at Fairoaks, Surrey, circa September 1938.

K4853 BF-J from 28 sqn RAF, Kohat, Pakistan, circa August 1941.

K3124 Communications "hack" used by 173 squadron in the Middle East. Based at Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt, circa February 1943.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Thanks to: Shessi for his undoubted skill in bringing us a wide variety of aircraft for use in this old sim.

Ted Cook for the original aircraft, developed originally for FS2004.

Allen for his DOSmdlc_2, making shine & mdl size changes possible in WIN7+

Arno Gerretsen for ModelconverterX, such a clever & versatile tool.

Martin Wright for so many useful tools, in this case in particular MDLmat allowing aircraft model material transparency & colour changes.

Kelticheart for his prop bitmaps & exhaust effects.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions
