This is a CFS3 mod package that was originally posted on the Netwings site. They were intended for stock CFS3 and/or CFS3 with Firepower ONLY.
Nothing has been modified in any way and it is still in it's original *.zip file. Here is the README for full acknowledgement:
Supadetail! Replacement tracer smoke textures for CFS3, release 1.0
This zip file contains replacement tracer smoke for CFS3.
1. Locate the effects texture folder and place the tracersmoke4.dds file in there. If you installed to the default location this will be:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3\effects\fxtextures
Launch the game and you should now see the new tracer smoke when you next fire your guns are are fired at.
A few notes:
This is an initial release of the tracer smoke textures and may be subject to change in the future. If you have any feedback or comments please feel free to e-mail me and I may incorporate them in future versions. I get quite a lot of e-mail so if it happens that you don't get a response, just try again and you tend to get a reply eventually! You can contact me using any of the following methods:
