59-0534 was assigned to the 1501st Air Transport Wing. It was destroyed on 30 Apr 1967, when it was ditched 34 miles from Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan after takeoff due to engine failure. The propellers became stuck in fixed pitch due to electrical problems in either propeller control or propeller power circuits. The crew of 9 survived, but one was seriously injured.
