P-91 was a Navy Reserve squadron based at the now decommisioned Moffett Field, in Sunnyvalle California. During their time they had three different nick names, Pink Panthers, Stingers, and Black Cats. This repaint represents the "Pink Panther" days.

VP-91 was decommisioned in 1991, the same year Moffett was given to NASA. Therefore never flew the P-3C in the new All gloss gray paint scheme.
