This is a repaint for the payware Warbirdsim product 'Mustang Tales'. This repaint depicts P-51D-25-NA, 44-74202, registered N5420V, as the aircraft appeared following the completion of a lengthy restoration in the summer of 2012. Owned by Jack Croul/Allied Fighters, the aircraft was completely rebuilt by Vintage Airframes between 2007 and 2010, with the final details of its restoration completed by Westpac Restorations and Fighter Rebuilders. The aircraft was completed and first flown again in June of 2012, finished in factory markings and a highly polished bare metal finish. Only a month later, the aircraft would be purchased by Robert Dickson, and soon be painted in the 357th FG markings of "Swamp Fox" (see jt_p51_n5420v_sf.zip).
