    Usio IJN Shinano. Laid down as a "Yamato" class battleship, Shinano was launched in Oct 1944, completed for trials in Nov 1944 and sunk by the submarine USS Archerfish, 29 Nov 1944 approx 120 miles off the coast. Submitted by Usio
