13th Fly-In Stampe of Pithiviers

dewoitine

SOH-CM-2025
On the 28th and 29th of June, the Pithiverais aeroclub organised the 13th edition of its Fly-in dedicated to the Stampe. This gathering is now a must-attend event in the stamping calendar. Despite the heatwave of this last weekend of June, about fifteen SV-4 responded to the call and placed their wheels on the aerodrome of Pithiviers in Loiret. The majority of the aircraft came from the sector or neighbouring regions, but some did not hesitate to scour the nautical miles: A Stampe made the trip from Pau, another from Dijon and an SV-4 even arrived from Saint-Hubert in Belgium. A proof of the success of this gathering.
But this Fly-in is not only reserved for Belgian biplanes. Other beautiful machines were also present in the parking lot. No less than three Bücker Jungman, two Pitts, a replica of the SE-5 and the Nord 1002 from Pontoise were on board. In the Antics section, two superb machines stood out for their elegance: a magnificent Beech Staggerwing from Belgium and a Waco YMF-5 with timeless charm. A Boeing Stearman completed the set of American close-ups.
The weekend was punctuated by flights shared between enthusiasts, reflecting the friendly atmosphere of this gathering. A very beautiful edition for lovers of vintage machines.
