Mississippi ........ Where are you in Mississippi? I'm from Meridian and my son still lives there.

Ive been trying to get my brother into this game. He is a truck broker (interstate shipping broker) and I thought he would really get into the entire truck thing since he was also into FS.... (yes... 'was'.. arrgh.. who can walk away from FS???)

Actally I've almost picked it up, but always set it down again. If I can't shift gears, back into those impossible places, run the daily "Leg Check" at 65 mph, run 2 log books or none at all, plus avoid those trecherous "Lot Lizzards" too..... it ain't no fun.

Down loaded and ran the demo....and can now say that I can crash a big rig with the same skill that I crash planes.

OBIO

Mississippi, the K-100 looks like the one from "BJ and the Bear" tv show.

I saw the real one years ago on it's way to a truck show in Boston..... boy did that chimp tear up the upholstery inside. What a mess.

is there a "free play" or anything? or is it all "jobs and incentives"? nothing wrong with that...but...........well....ack

Yep,I play the real game every day.I am driving an 05 Volvo headed North to Indy as we speak.:USA-flag:

It's a job but I don't envy you one bit Safn. I don't miss over-the-road long haul at all.

Except for the "Leg Checks". ;) LOL

7 more months...then a 7 month hiking trip on the Appalachian trail....I'll probably drop dead about day 3.:d

Heh, heh! Cool graphics, but after being a trucker for seventeen years, I'd be whining all the time that it "doesn't do that in real life!"... I like it better as it happened when Mrs Q and I flew home from OKC the other day. As we cleared the fence, we flew over a warehouse where I noticed a trucker who had pulled away from the dock and gotten out to shut his trailer doors who had paused to look up as our plane flew over. Any other week of the year I am that driver... I think I'll stick to FS.:icon_lol::icon29:

I run the Puget Sound area, for real.
when I get home, I don't even want to drive the car.
that's the wife's job.
sorry, I can't see doing a semi-sim.
24+ years behind the wheel is plenty for me.

btw, does it have idiots that cut in front of you
and then lay on the brakes?
or how about the ones that putt along at 5 under,
then speed up when you try to pass?

You hit the head right on the nail, Smilo! My wife is the designated driver for my time home... I thought about adding a brake pedal for me in the right seat of our car, but I think that would be pushing it a bit. I just grit my teeth and hang on.. It usually works.:icon_lol:

Just as a sidenote, I know that we have a goodly number of real world pilots among our ranks at SOH, who enjoy FS as much as they do actually flying. I guess that is possible when the real life experience is something you love to do. :kilroy::running:

the toughest part was learning to keep my comments to myself.
although the over reactive left foot jump is a dead give away.
all in all, though, I completely trust her driving abilities.
heck, I can sleep when she drives
and I don't mean with one eye open.
