This always seems worse just before Christmas.

my local news this mornaing said there were 38 people in serious to critical condition due to burns from the overhead baggage compartments burning and falling on them as they sat in thier seats.......ack

Rocky Mountain News today was pretty much dedicated to the story...of interesting note was an "Artists conception of a Continental 737 at DIA" which showed what was clearly an FS2004 screenshot:costumes:

DIA is a bit of a scary place to have that sort of event. The airport was built on rolling terrain and several of the runways were built up above the base level. An excursion could end up with an aircraft sliding down into a hollow, some more than 100 feet below runway elevation. From the video I saw it looked like the a/c turned, went down a small slope, back up, across a road or taxiway and then back down into the "ravine". Just lucky it wasn't the one with the fuel pumping station at the bottom...

Good find b24. They give a pretty good idea of the terrain.. and the building you can see in the one shot is one of the firehalls - so at least response time was minimal
