• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

a litlle thing..when growing up..myself and billy mispley (one year apart in age) were into nascar and the big stock cars at our local track...little brother allen,4 years younger..liked the INDY cars and the open wheel cars at the local track..they were called "hard tops" and then modifieds..but theyre nothing like yall back east had..BTW the sprint car as its now known was born at west capitol speedway in sacramento and auburn speedway in my town.1/8th mile from my house..but anyway..allen absolutley HATED the stock cars..when i went stock car racing he refused to participate..wouldnt even go watch..then his brother billy started his own team and allen still wouldnt have anything to do with either of us....BUT when we both went to sprint cars...boy did allen have a change of mind......his words....you guys finally learned where the money is...
he went on to build engines for a company that was out of sacramento.( i cant remember the name) but they built for IRL and cart...then they came up with the honda only engine rule and it killed that shop...
so allen applied with NASCAR shops and is now building for joe gibbs racing...and i tease him every chance i get that he is working for a "lowly, usless,no good, loosing entity like stock car racing.....lol

he built both engines that Kyle won with at atlanta..nationwide as well as the cup engine...
i guess the engines come from TRD and the engineman will tear it down..do "his thing" and rebuild it...test it..tear it down again and then rebuild it and then it either goes into the car or on to the truck.one man builds each one..its not a multiple person thing..just one person to each engine....i find that interresting.....
