Alpha's FB-111 Aardvark

Blackbird686

SOH-CM-2025
I have re-installed my copy of the AlphaSim FB-111 Aardvark and begun to tinker a bit with the panel, as well as some paints that I have found from different artists on the web.

Does anyone know if AlphaSim ever released this model as freeware, I didn't see it over in the "Alpha Oldies" section here at the SOH.

I found some re-worked panels for this plane that will work for FSX and FS9, from various developers, and some really nice textures by Barry Magann. I was thinking of putting together an "All Australian" package for the Alpha FB-111, (and F-111) with the panel upgrade packages for FS9 and FSX, and Barry's superb Aussie textures.:typing:

If it comes out as good as the "Sea Fury Trio" packs I did a while back for CFS2, I will upload the whole maghilla as a complete aircraft package here at SOH, with all credits given where credit applies. I need to contact some folks first tho.

Kinda looks like the same model to me... which isn't a bad representation at all. Alpha's F-111 had some features that were not found on other payware models at that time, like a realistic suspension and undercarriage animation.

It's the same panel however... or so it seems. I was hoping for an updated panel with a cleaner looking VC and updated gauge sets.

The IRIS model (if any) will prolly be for the "dark side" only...:faint:
