• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I´m a huge Pink Floyd fan (and one of the few who thinks "The Wall" is NOT their best album), also deep in the 80´s "true rock" bands (glam anyone?)...just that i was burning the midnight oil and suddendly, in all the quietness of the night, Judy began singing..all i could hear was her singing "over the rainbow"..and made me dream....damn! best trip i´ve ever had!!!:rapture:

Here is what I have found out about the youtube tags.

In the youtube url you see the video number this one is 1HRa4X07jdE

So if we highlight that text and press the read YT (youtube tag) button it will enclose the video in the youtube tags and it should work. But it does not. Example

The first tag ([) is changed to a { so as to not confuse your browser and I put an underline after the first tag set to show that there is a space at that location. If you let it stand like this it will not show up.

Lets try it again this time don't use the red button lets do it manually.

Notice we still left that space in the string. If we do that we get this.

A Big old empty space.

Remove the space {youtube]1HRa4X07jdE{/youtube]

and you get this

[youtube]1HRa4X07jdE[/youtube]

The tags must be on one line with no spaces before. I did not try after the video number but lets just say no spaces there either.

Thats it YouTube tags 101 Complete. Post your first video and you will receiver you Diploma in the mail....:friday:
