The only Italian DC-2 (I-EROS), purchased by Avio Linee Italiane (Nucleo Comunicazioni Avio Linee Italiane after June '40), was used on the Roma-Milano and Roma-Torino routes from November 1934 until September 1940, when was aquired by the 'Nucleo Comunicazioni Ala Littoria' and used, in conjunction with the only Ala Littoria's DC-3 (I-EMOS), on the Rome-Foggia-Tirana route.
