• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Bad taste or what?

Am I alone in thinking this file submitted and accepted by FS.com is in really bad taste when there are still unrecovered bodies on board? Or am I a fussy old git? I took it upon myself to fire off a similar e-mail to the admins as fs.com, the authors e-mail didn't work.

No, you're not alone.....

I was downloading it when it hit me at least 11 people died so I didn't install it. I don't think the scenery content is is really terrible, but just maybe a little bit of bad form, at least for a while until everone is "recovered" and a bit of time passes....

Fussy old git or not, I'd agree with you it's bad taste. It's also a classic example of how the concept of "Because we can, why not..." and the immediacy of online posting wins out over "Think before do..."

BTW, if you are registered at FlightSim you can send him an email through the members list functions. He uses the same membername as the first 9 characters of the email address in the readme. What the heck.. after I ponder for a while I might even start a thread over there ...:kilroy:
