Banff Wing Mission Videos uploaded "Black Monday Pts 1 & 2 "

I eventually decided to dust of my directors cap and fired up the FRAPS. I chose to film the first of my Banff Wing missions. This is loosely based on the following event in the Banff Wing's career. On 15th January 1945 Coastal Command's Banff Strike Wing suffered it's worst losses in one mission. It was forever known as "Black Monday" in the squadrons annals. Furthermore it also saw the demise of the Free French pilot Wing Commander Jean Maurice whose exploits and leadership skills had made him a very respected pilot officer.

Despite serious editing, I ended up with a video over 10 minutes long and so it is in two parts. It also showcases a new musical discovery: "The Coastal Command Suite" by Ralph Vaughn Williams.

This is my biggest Video project to date, but so much was happening in it that I just couldn't justify cutting it under 10 mins. I just hope you don't find it too tedious. It has been uploaded in a higher res than previous videos, so try it full screen, by watching from Youtube!

Jeff,

That was simply spectacular and totally immersive. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and felt like I was at the Cinema.

Quite a story and very well told.:salute:

Thanks Steve, I took over 140 video clips and edited them together to make this story. I have never spent so much time at the PC to make a video before. Phew!
