Banned!

Instead of banning her, maybe NASCAR should make a side event out of the reactions of the driver's spouses and girlfriends. Perhaps it could involve a mud pit. :jump:

No, I'm glad they banned her... its time NASCAR slapped some sporting behaviour into its drivers and their spouses. End of the day, they represent the team... spouses too indirectly. That behaviour isn't on. Its Professional motor racing not bloody WWE... there's no need for bitch fights and squabbling off track.

she only did to him, what he did to another driver a month or so back.im not saying what she was right, she just reacted by repeting his own actions to another driver.spouses, girlfriends, boyfreinds, moms, dads, brothers, sisters have all ,allways been involved in off track squables between teams....often when the drivers themselves were in a knock down drag out battle on track,,,once the checkers flew...and got to the pits, were buddies again, but the families were still in the stands yelling at eachother...ok im talking about me...i have a freind,Andy Adams ,we ran hobby stocks against one another for two seasons..1980 and 81,to this day he and i are close, but his wife hates me with a passion from what happened on track week after week, and i admit at times it was almost violent...lol...

Hey All,

How in the world does NASCAR have the legal authority to fine somebody's wife? Certainly a wife of a driver has NO written contract or agreement with NASCAR - that would be ridiculous - unless maybe an employee of a team - even then I think legally questionable unless she specifically signed an agreement. NASCAR certainly has no power to argue that the wife of a driver is under their authority even if they have an agreement with the driver that says so. A husband cannot legally comit a wife to an agreement. Something weird seems to be going on here.

Since it was Skeen's first race, I think NASCAR is also trying to send out a message to new folks whom they think are 'acting up'....

she was also in the "pit area" not outside the track, not everyone is allowed to just walk around in there...you pay for a pitpass where its part of a team,or you pay for it yourself,ut a part of that pitpass is an agreement to act within the association rules and guidelines, and slapping someone isnt apart of that...despite what i said earlier...it happens,,,but her slap was on tv,,,she got caught and shes been violated...
