This is an updated and revamped version of Abacus "Battle For Midway" for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2.

There were *NUMEROUS* mission bugs and typographical errors contained throughout the entire package. Some of the bugs and errors were so severe that some of the missions would completely crash and lock up the simulator, or they could not even be completed (especially in the Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2 version, which was simply a conversion of the missions of their Microsoft...

No it doesn't. It's simple the needed campaign files required to play the original pack as a campaign.

I'm surprised that no CFS2 enthusiast has created a Battle of Midway campaign that would use the excellent ships of the Japanese and American navies of our friend Stuart277 which complete the full range of the 2 navies. This combined with the numerous and excellent skins of the planes involved offer infinite possibilities.
Personally, I was interested in creating a campaign that would erase the errors of the Japanese plan:
the Aleutian operation which should have been a diversion is canceled, the attack on Midway Island is carried out by the aircraft carriers Junyo Ryujo Zuiho and Osho which would have been sufficient to neutralize the Midway aviation. The landing support is carried out by the 2nd Battleship Division and the 4th and 5th Cruiser Divisions. associated with the seaplanes of the 3 Chitoses.
Nagumo's Combined Fleet reenters the Zuikaku, armed with Zeros and Vals surviving from the Battle of the Coral Sea. It is escorted by the four Kongo, the 8th Cruiser Division, and at a distance by the 1st Battleship Division, including the flagship Yamato. The 7th Cruiser Division serves as a reserve between the two squadrons.
This Japanese fleet seems invincible. Will the US Navy be able to rise to the challenge?

The Battle of Midway was made into a 16 mission campaign in 2022.It uses some of the AF=Midway missions and some my son wrote.It also uses the Stuart ships available at the time,Wildcats by Captain Kurt,and Dauntless Dive Bombers in the right paint schemes.The IJN carriers and Mogami are by Usio because no others were available at the time.I have updated the Mogami since but I haven't updated the IJN Carriers yet with one made by the VN Navy.

You download the missions here at SOH and they are in my download section.They are also just from the USN side.There is also a single mission torpedo plane attack from Hornet on the Soryu using the Captain Kurt Devastator.

I won't be uploading the updated campaign for a while because of other commitments.

The Battle of Midway was made into a 16 mission campaign in 2022.It uses some of the AF=Midway missions and some my son wrote.It also uses the Stuart ships available at the time,Wildcats by Captain Kurt,and Dauntless Dive Bombers in the right paint schemes.The IJN carriers and Mogami are by Usio because no others were available at the time.I have updated the Mogami since but I haven't updated the IJN Carriers yet with one made by the VN Navy.
