FS 2004 Flight Replicas Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 The second of my 'Defense of the Reich' series Oblt. Wilhelm Schilling, Staffelkapitan of 9./JG54, Ludwigsslust Feb. 1944. Schilling's impressive career started in May 1940 and steadily mounted victories with JG54 throughout the Russian campaign. After 46 kills he was seriously wounded and awarded the Knight's Cross in October of 42. He returned to JG54 in late 43 as Staffelkapitan of 9./JG54 in Germany with defense of the Reich duties.
