Big Radials Jetstar out on EARLY RELEASE!

modelr

SOH-CM-2025
Big Radials Jetstar released in EARLY RELEASE version for MSFS2020, with a discount, (not listed how much) until final release, to help with development costs. V0.8.1, so well along now. MSFS2024 version waiting for SDK release.

I would love to see what kind of panel this one has. If it has a good autopilot with at least VOR nav ability, I'll probably get it.

FWIW, the product is discounted during early access. And it gives you an opportunity to influence which features get added. Early access isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm fine with it when it's a dev like Big Radials that have a good history of delivering.

Tom, it's got an autopilot (60's era) and BR is working on an INS system, but that's INOP at the moment. BR has promised weekly/fortnightly updates.

Period-correct avionics are fine for people that like them, but I'd like to see a modern option too. I know a lot of people here will poo-poo that, but the fact is that this sim is set in modern times with modern nav-aids and GPS. Even warbirds are being converted, as evidenced in this screenshot from a GoPro sponsored clip taken from the cockpit of a P-38 Lightning:

Personally, I don't see any reason not to at least include modern avionics as an option.

GTN 750 (PMS definitely, and they're looking at TDS) support is incoming!

I was just gonna say the PMS would lock it for me. The PMS i Bought has been an excellent tool to give the modern neat VC look..

Not yet. BR has asked folks on the product page to hold off on liveries during the early access phase, since stuff is changing. More liveries are promised from BR too.

Outstanding! I'll probably wait until the full release though - the price difference isn't all that much and I'd rather have something that's closer to finished.

Not the best of reviewers, but the only one I could find...thinking about it...

I was reading today that it was proposed for the USAF refuelling tanker requirement that became the KC-135...little low on capacity?

Ooo, the INS caught my attention. I remember a B58 from early FS days with an INS and that thing was a blast to play with.

Not to badmouth the reviewer, but he should have at least read the discription and explanation of what is and is not yet available, as well as what is being worked on, as all of his remarks were covered in the description.

Yep, wasn't a good start when he wasn't sure who produced it...
TBH most interested in what the VC looked like as the P-40 was a bit bland in the VC and I've avoided BR since. Would be interested if anyone has flown it in VR?
