Just finished this game yesterday, and all I can say is 'Wow'......
Bioshock Inifinite is the third part in the series, the first two took place in a city called Rapture, located at the bottom of the sea. BI is an entirely different game and takes place in 1912. You play a character called Booker DeWitt who is dropped off at a lighthouse and finds a note saying 'Bring us the girl, and settle your debt.' From the lighthouse you are shot to a city flying through the skies called Columbia, founded and ruled by a father Comstock, and your search begins. However, you are soon identified as the 'False prophet' and the fight begins.
Like the original two games you have two different kinds of weapons; guns for your right hand, and special powers called 'Vigors' (Similar to the plasmids in the first two games) in your left hand. Vigors include 'Possesion' which you can use to befriend an enemy, 'Murder of crows' which summons a flock of crows that attack and 'Shock jockey' that fires a lightning bolt. All powers have a secondary function as well. A third weapon you have is a magnetic hook that you can attach to skylines so you can quickly move from one place to another, but you can also use it to smash a skull in.
The fourth weapon is the girl you are looking for, as she has special powers of her own, and is always looking for ways to help you..
Just like the original games this one is quite linear, but it has a very intense storyline and a jaw dropping ending. I can't reveal too much but it was definitely worth every bit of the about eleven hours I spend on it. Can't wait to go back!
Some screenshots; no editting done except for cropping. I'm running this game at maximum detail and the framerate hardly ever drops below thirty on my i7 920, 6Gb ram and GTX560Ti 1Gb videocard.
The church where you arrive:

First look outside, note the statue of Father Comstock and the skylines on the left side:

One of the shops you get to explore in the beginning of the game; Like Bioshock 1&2 everything just feels, looks and sounds correct for the age; the atmosphere is just great!

Advertising posters for some of the Vigors:

Zeppelins flying through the city:

The hook, on its way to attach to a pick-up point:

Even though there's a city in the sky, there's even a beach!:

Night falls over Columbia:

Game of the year for me; highly recommended!
